Kids Race

Register on the day from 9.30 am onwards outside the Miners Arms Pub. £3 per runner (cash only).

The Eyam Fun Run 1.3 miles (2.1Km) is for children under the age of 16. It starts from the square approx 10.45am soon after the Half Marathon has set off at 10.30am.
The circular route follows the main road through the village and turns left onto Tideswell lane up a small incline. Left onto Windmill lane then takes the runners along to join Dunlow lane which is a steep downhill and then back to the main road via New Close.
In 2024 all winners received a certificate signed by Julia Bradbury. Previous races have had certificates signed by Steve Backshall, Erling Haaland, Jessica Ennis, Rebecca Adlington and Tom Cruise (yes actual Tom Cruise).
The route is marshalled; however, parents are responsible for their own children and should supervise accordingly. Parents are welcome to join in and run with their children. All abilities are very welcome! Sorry, no dogs are allowed on the fun run.
The 2024 Kid's Race had an amazing 94 runners. Congratulations to all the runners who put in a fabulous effort and especially to Hrishi Popat who was 1st boy, Joshua Jenkins who was 2nd boy and Thomas Hooley who was 3rd boy. Kitty Sumner was 1st girl and 4th overall. Indie Tapham was 2nd girl and Bess Gilbert 3rd girl. Congratulations also to Joe Rundle who came 5th overall and was 1st local boy. Dylan Pritchard was 1st local junior boy and Bertie Williams was 1st local infant. Poppy Belivanis was 1st local junior girl and Lucy Harley was1st local infant girl.
