Number Pick up & Bag Drop – 9am-10am

Number pick-up location will be outside the Coolstone in Eyam Hall Courtyard.  Please ensure you get there early to avoid a queue. Your race number will contain the timing chip and should be worn on the front. Please also leave time to fill in any medical and emergency contact details on the back of your race number. The Coolstone is about 5 mins walk from the race start in the Eyam Square.

Bag drop location will be confirmed before race day. All items are left at your own risk.

Walkers

For those who have entered as walkers there's no need to register, please just start your walk between 7am and 9am.

Toilets

As well as at registration, there are public toilets opposite Eyam Museum (these are likely to have the shortest queues). Toilets will also be open at Eyam Primary School (ladies) and at the Mechanics Institute (gents).

Parking

Please lift share where possible.  Marshals will be around the village to help guide you to the nearest available car parking. In the event of heavy rain before or on the day some hard standing car parking will be outside the village and a shuttle service will be provided. Please turn up with ample time to park, especially if the weather is poor. Please also remember that we couldn’t put on an event like this without the support of the local community, so please park considerately and respect traffic cones etc.

Water

In the interest of the environment and to reduce touch-points, we ask runners to bring their own water.  However, this is a challenging course and adequate hydration is important so there will be a number of water stations around the course and at the finish.

Dropping Out & Injuries

St John’s Ambulance will be on hand to take care of first aid. If you need to abandon the race at any point please make sure that you inform a marshal and tell them your race number.  A sweeper car will be at the back of the race to ensure all competitors make it home safely.

Race Times and Prizes

Race times will be available online after the event.  If you have provided your mobile number then your own time will be texted to you after the event.  You can check and update this on the SIEntries website (changes made after Sunday 8th May may be missed, so please make sure you update before then).

Prizes will be awarded for fastest male and female runners, veteran categories and locals. Prize giving will be in the village square at the finish line at 12.30pm.

Kids Race

A 2.1KM children’s race for kids of all ages (pushchairs included) will take place at 10.45am. The route goes through the village and back. It is very well marshalled, but younger children should be accompanied by an adult.  Entry is £3 on the day.

Emergency Contact Details & Deferring Entries

Please make sure your emergency contact and medical details are up to date on the SIEntries website.

Food & Drink

You'll find many of our wonderful sponsors along the route - We'd love you and your supporters to spend some time in Eyam and the surrounding villages before and after the race so we'll be sending an email next week with links to some of the great places to eat and drink whilst you're with us.

T-Shirts / Trees Not Tees

T-Shirts can be collected once you finish the race.  Walkers will need to visit the finish line and give their name to collect their T-Shirt - runners can be identified from their race numbers. Anyone who selected the Trees-Not-Tees option will receive an email from them after the race confirming their tree has been planted.  To find out more about Trees-Not-Tees visit treesnottees.com

Deferring or Cancelling Entries

In line with our Terms and Conditions we're unable to offer any refunds or to defer entries. If you're unable to run you can still pass your entry to another runner yourself via SIEntires any time up to Sunday 7th May.
